Thanks to the generous support of Vermont Federal Credit Union, we can offer this scholarship program and honor these deserving students. The scholarships extend beyond just financial aid; they represent our commitment to the Vermont National Guard family,” stated Jason Beams, Lieutenant colonel of the Vermont National Guard.
This marks the 3rd year of partnership between Vermont Federal Credit Union and the National Guard Association of Vermont in offering this scholarship. Since 2022, the program has awarded $12,000 in scholarships to local students.
“We deeply value the dedication and sacrifice of the Vermont National Guard and its members in serving our country,” said Peter Winch, VP of Marketing. “Partnering with them to support and celebrate students and families who have given so much to our nation is an honor we take to heart.”
The program is one of several scholarship initiatives offered by Vermont Federal. Each year, Vermont Federal presents its annual Student Scholarship Program, awarding five educational scholarships of $2,000 each to Vermont students. Vermont Federal has additional scholarship partnerships with Spectrum Youth & Family Services, Boys & Girls Club of Burlington, and Drive for Excellence.
