PENDLETON – The Blue Mountain Community College Foundation has announced the second cycle of scholarships for the current academic year has been completed and the total figure is more than $277,000.
“We are pretty excited about that,” Executive Director Ken Daniel said. “We’re able to help a few more students this year and able to provide them an opportunity to pursue their educational goals.”
The 149 scholarships are based on academic performance and need. They help students pay tuition and other educational expenses at BMCC. The foundation states that each of the men and women awarded the funding shows intelligence, leadership, and motivation.
The BMCC Foundation raises funds for scholarship and emergency assistance every year to ensure students have access to education.
“We are grateful to the many donors who made it possible to award over $277,000 in scholarships in the 2024-2025 academic year,” Daniel said.
