Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation recently announced the recipients of their 2023 scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at $3,000.

The Trevor Vance First Year Scholarship, in memory of Trevor Edward Vance, was awarded to Danica Davis of Keene, Ont. This scholarship, valued at $3,000, will help Davis with her post-secondary schooling. She is currently enrolled at the University of PEI doing her honours bachelor of science in biology, working towards veterinary medicine. 
Garth Rancier, president of Friends of Canadian Simmental Foundation, commented “Once again it is great to see so many high-quality applications from across Canada. This year’s recipients have displayed leadership, development skills and a dedication to their community, as well as the livestock industry.” 
Congratulations to this year’s scholarship recipients from all of us at Canadian Cattlemen and Friends of the Canadian Simmental Foundation.
National account manager
As National account manager for Canadian Cattlemen, I work with all major accounts including equipment manufacturers, ad agency’s and national breed associations. When I’m not busy working and promoting Canadian Cattlemen magazine, my family and I are running a purebred herd of Simmental cattle at Grandora, Sask.
