LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Today, a special ceremony was held for five Little Rock High School seniors who received prestigious scholarships from the U.S. Navy.
Commander Dominique Jackson, director of Navy Community Outreach, presented the five seniors with $200,000 scholarships that will cover the expenses of the students for all 4 years at the university of their choice.
The recipients of this amazing honor were Passion Ball (attending Southern University), Breighah Bailey (attending Hampton University), Richard Hampton (attending Marion Military University), Jasmine Raynor (attending Southern University), and Aaliyah Walker (attending Marion Military University, was not able to attend ceremony).
The five students were selected from a nationwide pool of thousands of students, all contending for the same scholarship.
